ANE 2014 Kicks Off 3-Day Run

LAS VEGAS—The AVN Novelty Expo returned Wednesday to the Hard Rock Casino and Hotel Las Vegas with several new exhibitors in addition to attendee favorites. With pleasure products companies scattered throughout all three rooms of the show—Artist Hall, Muse Hall and The Joint—exhibitors chose the location that best fit their needs, whether it was dealing only with others in the trade or getting their products out in front of fans. Adult Trading Card Company, which recently launched a Kickstarter campaign for a hardcover coffee table book called Naked In Nature, mingled with the masses in Muse Hall, which also housed video companies and porn stars. Nearby was Beamonstar, where fans of the products could learn about the likes of Sex Voltz and Sweeten 69. Billy Boy Condoms—German-made condoms that are distributed throughout the U.S. by Paradise Marketing—had their own booth to showcase their line of products that feature superior latex, dynamic packaging and an array of sizes. Paradise Marketing also was on hand in Artist Hall, meeting with customers who were interested in the variety of condoms and lubricants the distributor carries. CB-X Male Chastity, a long-time exhibitor at ANE, returned this year to showcase its popular Points of Intrigue accessories for it’s male chastity devices. The company was recently featured on HuffPost Live in a segment titled “Male Chastity 101” where Corporate Director Nikki Yates talked about male chastity usage from all angles. CockPipe, one of the most unique exhibitors at the show, showed fans their product that combines a cock ring with a small tobacco pipe. Fans looking for a little help getting comfortable during sex, or looking for help achieving new and interesting positions, did well to visit with Intimate Furniture. Intimate Furniture is sex-friendly furniture with lounges and bolsters that add angles and curves to the horizontal planes found in traditional furniture. Several new companies set up shop in Muse Hall to mix with trade and fan attendees to show off their collection of massagers and pleasure product items, including Endevr, Feel Good Inc., G and G Marketing Inc., IMTOY, Smart Massagers and Vitality. Some big name manufacturers were also on hand to meet with customers and show off their “O” Award-nominated products and collections. Evolved Novelties—which also encompasses Zero Tolerance Toys and the Adam & Eve collection of products they have licensed—were a major presence on the ANE show floor. Also on hand is NS Novelties. Still a relative newcomer to the pleasure products industry, the sister company of New Sensations has made a splash in the past few years, especially with the Infinit massager, which was nominated for “O” Awards. Seminars today include a panel at 10 p.m. titled "Is the FDA on the Way?" The seminar will tackle issues regarding regulatory efforts by the Food and Drug Administration and how these affect manufacturers and retailers. Both the seminar and Morse's keynote address take place in Festival Hall, on the ground floor of the Paradise Tower in the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino.
