Adult Industry Offers to Fix Ailing HealthCare.gov Website

LOS ANGELES—Republicans may want to kill the Affordable Care Act, aka Obamacare, but porn wants to help fix it, literally. One such altruistic outfit is probably one of the more well-known websites to your average American: Pornhub.com, which issued a statement today about a letter it plans to send to the White House offering to help fix the ACA's troubled website, Healthcare.gov. "Pornhub.com, a leading adult entertainment website that knows a thing or two about hosting millions of concurrent users, today officially offering up its services to help the Obama administration fix the U.S. health insurance exchange website, which has been plagued by numerous outages since its Oct. 1 launch," read the statement. "Joining the ranks of Google and Oracle, Pornhub.com believes its talented staff of engineers can help the Obama administration avoid future tech surges and bring affordable healthcare to all Americans." The letter, which is dated Nov. 21, 2014, read: To Whom It May Concern: My name is Corey Price, Vice President of adult entertainment website, Pornhub.com. On behalf of our company, I'd like to formally extend an offer to the Obama administration to help fix the U.S. health insurance exchange website, which has been plagued by numerous outages since its Oct. 1 launch. As one of the largest adult entertainment websites and most trafficked website in general (ranked 68th by Alexa Internet rankings), Pornhub.com believes its staff of talented engineers can help prepare the Obama administration to accommodate millions of concurrent users to avoid future "tech surges." If possible, I'd love to continue our discourse to discuss how we can help the Obama administration reach its lofty enrollment goals and, more importantly, help bring affordable healthcare to all Americans. I really appreciate your consideration, and am looking forward to hearing back from you soon. Last night, David Letterman in his monologue also took note of some porn-related "good news" regarding the ACA website, complete with a video. Pretty funny bit, viewable here.
