Scarlett Revell Wraps 'Sex in Venice' for Harmony Films

LONDON—Director Scarlett Revell follow up her AVN Award-nominated production Mind Fuck with the latex-drenched Sex in Venice for the same studio, Harmony Films. To design the garb for the picture, Revell commissioned Atsuko Kudo, creator of similar latex costumes for Lady Gaga, among others. "Porn stars have never looked this elegant and sexy," Revell said. Those stars include Britain's Samantha Bentley, "Russian Princess" Hennessy, Coco and Mia, along with male performers Marco Banderas and Tony DeSergio. “They were like Pied Pipers,” Revell continued. “Tits out, people following them across the Rialto Bridge, photographing them. My mouth was open the whole time, because they just turned it on. Just to see them walking is so powerful.” Revell said the clothing lent glamour to the women, who concurrently shot Young Harlots in Venice for Harmony director Gazzman. "I dress the girls like I would dress myself," the directrix explained. A Brooklyn transplant by way of L.A., Revell now lives in London and gives Harmony a female perspective; just as hardcore, she says, but more stylish. "I look at the earrings, the line of the stocking, every aspect of her dress," Revell elaborated. "If you saw one of my girls in a hotel I want guys to be stopped in their tracks. Like if you saw a model from a Vogue magazine who wasn't anorexic." She added, "These Atsuko Kudo dresses are just beautiful, and the girls look so sexy in them, but for the most part women have much higher standards for each other. I'll sit down and go over every aspect of the costume to make sure that she looks as beautiful as she can. Because I've got to be turned on by it, too." Sex in Venice arrives this summer from Harmony Films.
