'Game of Thrones' Doubles Down on Adult Performer Casting

TELEVISIONLAND—We have previously written about former German adult performer Sibel Kekilli appearing on HBO’s Game of Thrones as Shae, the “concubine and lover of Tyrion Lannister,” per Wikipedia. But we’ve also learned that Kekilli was but the first foray by the show’s casting directors into the adult performer talent pool. It turns out that “three women who sell their bodies on the show have previously performed in adult films,” reports Hypervocal.com. The site adds that in addition to Kekilli, “British adult actress Maisie Dee—not to be confused with the underage Maisie Williams, who plays Arya Stark—chimed in on a discussion on the Phish message board Phantasy Tour in reference to the porn pasts of both herself (NSFW) and fellow Game of Thrones/adult actress Sahara Knite (NSFW).” Maisie and Sahara also played prostitutes, and word on the street is that an abbywinters.com girl may also be on the show, so who knows where all this is headed. Meanwhile, some adult performers are getting mainstream credits and some sweet SAG paychecks (and residuals)! The season opener for Game of Thrones is March 25, on HBO.
