'Barb Wire XXX' Streets Today

VAN NUYS, Calif.—Today is the official street date for DreamZone Entertainment’s feature-length parody, Barb Wire XXX: A DreamZone Parody. Produced and directed by Van Anderson (MacGyver XXX),the lampooning of the 1996 sci-fi action-adventure film from the Dark Horse comic book series stars Britney Amber as the lead character, Barb Wire.    Adult stars appearing in the satirical sendup include Jayden Jaymes, Raylene, Evan Stone, Gigi Loren, Holly Michaels, Billy Glide, Ralph Long, Derrick Pierce and Earl Slate. The original film was widely panned by critics and nominated for a Golden Raspberry Award in 1997 for Worst Picture, while its star Pamela Anderson won one of the show’s infamous trophies as the Worst New Star. However, the movie also attracted many fans who relished its campiness and B-movie qualities. Additionally, the original comic book series that ran from 1994-1995, and the 1998 mini-series that followed the movie’s release, are still cult favorites among comic collectors and pop culture geeks. Barb Wire XXX: A DreamZone Parody details the sexy adventures of thrill-junkie Barbara Kopetski in 2019 where a second American Civil War has left the country a dark and desolate place—an ideal landscape for mercenary-for-hire Barb Wire. Her latest mission is to find a runaway prostitute and bring her home. But the reclusive hooker and her parents aren’t who they say they are. It’s up to Barb to figure out who the good guys are and save the day. And as far as the bad guys are concerned, they better not call her "babe." Releasing as a two-disc collector’s edition through Vantage Distribution, the deluxe package also includes SFW versions of some of DreamZone’s classic parody adaptions, as well as bonus scenes, trailers and photo galleries. “We’re thrilled to have Barb Wire XXX: A DreamZone Parody now available for sale to consumers," said Vantage's Adam Hasner.
