Exxxotica Brings Good Times, Relief Aid to New Jersey

EDISON, N.J.—When the doors to the Exxxotica Expo open today at the NJ Expo Center in Edison, the organizers will have an eye on the future recovery of the Garden State. Despite the devastation across the area from Hurricane Sandy and inches of snow on the ground from Nor’Easter Athena this week, the show remains on track and has expanded to include a food and supply drive as well as a Red Cross blood drive, all aptly named Exxxotica Gives Back. “The second that Sandy hit, we realized that our event needed to change of direction and that’s why we started Exxxotica Gives Back,” said J. Handy, director of Exxxotica. “The great thing is that not only do we have all the usual amazing aspects of Exxxotica but we also have a charitable cause to support. “Exxxotica Gives Back is a relief effort to directly benefit victims of the storm with drives to collect monetary donations, food, clothing, and other items desperately needed in the area,” Handy continued. “This year’s event is bittersweet, but we’re glad we can help communities that have supported our community each and every year we’ve done our show here. Support has been nothing short of incredible so far and we can’t wait to bring relief and some much-needed fun to everyone who needs it. We are honored to do what ever we can to help.” Dozens of adult film stars attending the show, as well as companies from all sectors of the industry have committed to support the effort and donate their time, goods and resources to aid the cause. Attendees are urged to bring their items to be donated to the show where they will be graciously accepted by the stars themselves giving their time. There will also be auctions of exclusive items and merchandise to help raise money, special meet and greets with Naughty By Nature, Tera Patrick, Lisa Ann, Teagan Presley, Raylene and others for those who donate, and a blood drive on Saturday afternoon by the Red Cross. All donations will go to families affected by the storm through recognized charities, especially in areas where help is desperately needed such as communities like Little Ferry and Moonachie, where flood waters wiped out entire neighborhoods and left families homeless with their possessions destroyed.
