Allie Haze, Vivid Part Ways Amicably

LOS ANGELES—Adult star Allie Haze has announced her amicable departure from Vivid Entertainment after a yearlong stint at the studio. Interested in pursuing more diverse visibility, Haze is taking her career in a new direction. Under her Vivid contract, Allie starred in a number of notable features (such as Star Wars XXX: A Porn Parody) and vignette titles (like Allie Haze: True Sex). “I learned so much about myself and this amazing industry during my time with Vivid,” she said. “I am forever grateful to everyone at Vivid who helped shape my career into what it is today.” Haze continued, “I’m thrilled about this next phase. There are many great producers in the industry and each has been supportive of my career. I'm not sure yet which direction I will go, but the options are limitless and I feel blessed. This is a great time to be an adult performer!” It’s certainly been a great time for Haze. Prior to becoming a Vivid Girl, the all-natural brunette racked up multiple AVN Award nominations, including Crossover Star of the Year and Female Performer of the Year. Her AVN Award nominations demonstrate her range as a performer: Best Actress in Lost and Found, as well as nods in Evil Angel titles American Cocksucking Sluts and Rocco's American Adventures (Oral Sex Scene and Most Outrageous Scene) and Elegant Angel’s Bush (Best Tease). She also was selected as the female performer of the year by both Xcritic.com and TLARaw.com. When announcing Haze as the 2012 Performer of the Year, XCritic.com editor Chris Thorne wrote, “Allie Haze breathed life in a tough year for porn, she was exactly what the industry needed, exactly when it needed it.” Fans and consumers of TLARaw.com cast their votes by the thousands to make Haze the site’s 2012 Performer of the Year. The honor followed her TLARaw.com 2011 award for Best New Starlet. Allie Haze is represented by LA Direct Models. Owner Derek Hay said, “Allie has shown great poise and dedication in her year with Vivid. She has shown maturity beyond her years in her movie performances and handled her appearance and convention work in an exemplary manner. … No doubt many studios will wish to include Allie in their movies.” Haze’s success has transcended the adult industry. In addition to landing numerous magazine covers, she found mainstream success under the name Brittney Joy as the title character in seven new installments of the famed Emmanuelle series. After being showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, the series made its television debut on Cinemax in October 2011.
