CatalystCon's Debut Event Comes to SoCal in September

LONG BEACH, Calif.—Dee Dennis, co-founder of the Momentum Conference held each spring in Washington, D.C., now is bringing her experience to spark open communication about sexuality, activism and acceptance to the West Coast. CatalystCon will be making its debut at the Hilton Long Beach & Executive Meeting Center in Long Beach, California Sept. 14-16. "This conference is meant to energize, enlighten and exhilarate a positive discussion about sexuality, the current state of women's rights, and to encourage people to take action in their local communities," Dennis said. "Now more than ever we need to continue to educate ourselves and share that knowledge to help ignite change." CatalystCon is focused on reaching out and stimulating the activist within everyone to help transform the way our friends, neighbors, and politicians approach and discuss one of the single most important aspects of humanity, according to the convention spokesperson. CatalystCon welcomes everyone to partake in the discussion and help to influence change in how our communities approach sexuality. "The fundamental principal of CatalystCon is that knowledge is power and sharing that knowledge is the first spark to igniting the change in conversations," Dennis said. "CatalystCon will bring that spark and energy to the West Coast." CatalystCon will be accepting application for speakers until June 1 from anyone who has something to share and the desire to spark conversations in the realms of sexuality, activism and acceptance. Individuals, therapists, educators, media specialists, bloggers, activists, women's rights advocates, health professionals, and others are encouraged to submit an application.
