2000Charge Reports Increased EuroDebit Usage, Thanks to SEPA

PASADENA, Calif.—Alternative payment processor 2000Charge has reported record transactions across its payment gateway, which uses the EuroDebit (European Bank Debit) payment system, the most widely used form of online payment in Europe for both one-time and recurring payments. 2000Charge attributes the success to the Single Euro Payments Area (SEPA) initiative, which involves the creation of a zone for the Euro in which all electronic payments are considered domestic, and where a difference between national and intra-European cross border payments does not exist. “As a EuroDebit merchant, SEPA will increase your payment coverage from 100 million currently to over 500 million consumers,” said 2000Charge.com CEO Wolf Kring. “The new system allows us to process direct debits and recurring transactions in real-time directly from consumers’ bank accounts in 32 European countries. It is the perfect payment solution for European customers with no credit card or those who are reluctant to use them online for purchases." Merchants who add 2000Charge will automatically be able start offering EuroDebit in addition to a wide range of other billing solutions, thanks to the company’s geo-targeted ‘one click’ payment button, which automatically serves customers local bank payment methods with which they are familiar, together with call-to-action and customer support in multiple languages. EuroDebit easily integrates with any existing billing platform, and all of the 2000Charge services include access to secure admin pages with detailed reports and features, such as fraud scrubbing, age and/or address verification and recurring billing options.
