Film Studio: Free to Good Home

CANOGA PARK, Calif.—Sascha Koch, founder and owner of Studio 8033, today announced his plans to give his media production studio away to an entrepreneur who would like to step into the film business immediately. The entire turnkey operation will be turned over to a new owner, chosen by Mr. Koch, on January 1, 2012. The offer includes all of the facilities of the current studio, including 14 sets on three adjoining stages, an extensive prop warehouse, website and the studio's list of current and recent clients. And, it's free. Yes, free. As in “no charge.” Mr. Koch founded Studio 8033 in 2005 and has had a gratifying seven-year tenure as owner. He is now ready to move on, and had this to say about the studio: “Hopefully this can be someone else's Phoenix, just as it was for me.” Mr. Koch went on to say, “After many years of hard work, I believe the business is now a turnkey investment, and more importantly, this transition will allow me to focus exclusively on other projects." Rather than see the studio's facilities demolished and the name disappear, Mr. Koch has chosen this somewhat unusual method of changing businesses. Studio 8033, located in the heart of California's San Fernando Valley, is a leading site for both mainstream and adult video production. In 2010, there were over 400 production bookings at the Studio. Recent bookings at the studio have included student film projects, indie films, music videos, web series and sit-com pilots. Interested parties are invited to visit the studio's website (which will be included with the studio), and serious inquiries may be made to info@studio8033.com. They are also invited to contact the studio's rental agent at 818-449-1630 (ask for Larry) to discuss the rental application process for the facility.
