UPDATE: Vivid Offers Non-Sex Job to Amanda Knox

LOS ANGELES—Vivid Entertainment co-chairman Steven Hirsch has reached out to the just-acquitted Amanda Knox with a job offer as a spokesperson for the company. TMZ reports that Hirsch has not yet received a response from Knox, who along with ex-boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was set free Monday by an appeals court in Perugia, Italy after being imprisoned there for four years on charges of sexually assaulting and murdering 21-year-old British student Meredith Kercher, with whom the American Knox shared an apartment while studying in Perugia. Hirsch said that while he was not excluding the idea of having Knox take on a more sexual role with the studio, that was not part of the proposal. "We would like to offer her the opportunity to be our Vivid.com spokesperson and represent the studio at trade and retail events," Hirsch told TMZ. "This would involve no nudity or sex. Of course we would welcome talking to her if she wants to pursue this direction, but the decision is totally hers to express." In a followup statement to AVN, Hirsch said, "Amanda Knox has been through a nightmare and has come through it with grace and dignity. She's a beautiful young woman and we've already heard from fans wanting to know if we're going to offer her a movie deal. I am sure she needs to recover from her experience of the last four years and determine the direction she wants to take for her future." Photo courtesy of International Business Times.
