LOS ANGELES—Many Americans are visiting their local video stores, heading out to movie theaters or logging into their Netflix accounts to get caught up on the films nominated in the Best Picture category for this year’s Oscars. But how many of them realize that a set from The King’s Speech was also used for a gay porn? QueerClick.com noted the differences between scenes from the mainstream historical drama about King George VI and his quest to overcome his stutter and those from UK Naked Men and published photos from both media online. So this little revelation makes us wonder a few things. First, if The King’s Speech wins during the Academy Awards on Sunday, will anyone thank UK Naked Men for letting them use the set that has hosted who knows how many of hot, burly naked chaps as the setting for Geoffrey Rush’s office? Second: Will we see more crossover from mainstream into adult in the coming years? Will the next box office smash see Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie in a scene on a set from Kink.com? Third: Who notices thigns like this? Who cares, really. In our opinion, it’s much better than the movie goof that has someone wearing a digital watch in Ben Hur.
