<strong>CHATSWORTH, Calif.</strong> - Adult content providers SugarDVD.com and SugarVOD.com have added a custom, Mac-friendly Silverlight VOD player. The player features a full-screen mode, bitrate controls and scene toggling.
Following Apple’s recent report regarding another quarter of record sales and earnings, the Silverlight VOD player provides instant streaming for more than 50,000 adult titles to Sugar's consumer base.
“The Mac market is growing, and we want to ensure seamless VOD viewing for Mac users visiting our sites," said SugarDVD.com Chief Executive Officer Jax Smith. "Silverlight allows us to provide instant movie streaming to a larger audience.
"Apple is more than a brand; it’s a lifestyle," he added. "Many consumers of SugarDVD.com feel the same way about our sites, and we are pleased to present them with easier access to their favorite movies.”
Apple’s fiscal fourth quarter corralled more than $20 billion in revenue with a $4.3 billion profit, including a continued growth in Mac sales. Mac currently owns a 10-percent market share in the U.S., higher than at any previous time in the company's history. <a href=http://www.sugardvd.com/ target=new>SugarDVD.com</a> and <a href=http://www.sugarvod.com/ target=new>SugarVOD.com</a> implemented the custom Silverlight player to meet the projected demand. The sites automatically load the player when a Mac accesses any of the movies.
Meanwhile, PC users will continue to be able to enjoy movies via the sites’ Windows Media Player.
Microsoft's Silverlight is a development platform allowing rich media applications and business applications for the web, desktop and mobile devices. Silverlight is a free plug-in powered by the .NET framework and is compatible across multiple browsers, devices and operating systems, including Macs.
“We are actively committed to updating our sites with the most innovative technology and programs available,” Smith said. “We will further upgrade the Silverlight player later in the fall with additional user-friendly features, including scene tagging and bookmark options. Recently our sites underwent some fresh changes, and we are excited to continually create the best experience possible.”
SugarDVD.com features a revamped site with increased content and an easy-to-use interface. The SugarDVD.com makeover included an improved look, simplified menus, new landing pages, an upgraded movie search system and a new toy category system.
