<strong>CALABASAS, Calif.</strong> – Video Secrets has released a new live show option with the announcement of Party Chat, a free chat area where customers have the ability to send tips to the performers. All tipping is done via credits and affiliates earn commission whenever customers purchase credits.
"Video Secrets has seen a 19-percent increase in the number of customers using credits each day since the change," a company spokesperson said. "More customers spending means more money for performers and affiliates."
In the past, the network has appealed to more affluent customers by pricing private shows at $6 to $12 per minute. Those price points still drive significant business for the company, the spokesperson said. However, with the addition of the tipping system, chat hosts are able to appeal to a wider array of customers and stimulate revenue potential for all parties.
“Since the launch of the new tipping system, we have been experiencing a significant increase in distinct user spending and total minutes chatting on our entire network of sites,” said Manger of Operations Brad Estes. “The tip system offers instant feedback for models so they can get a better sense of what their fans want to see. The result is better shows, longer shows, higher model payouts and bigger affiliate earnings, as well. We are really pleased with how Party Chat is putting more money in the pockets of our models and traffic partners."
Tips can be for any amount between $2.50 and $50, which gives fans a lot of flexibility when deciding which price point is right for their entertainment. The system also allows performers to up-sell their services in increments that make sense - getting the most out of their time online by giving their audience the best possible user experience.
Affiliates are cashing in on the tipping system because Video Secrets technology automatically shuts off chats that are underperforming to keep the energy flowing and the shows fresh around the clock, Estes said.
"This all adds up to more engaging and stimulating chat sessions and diversifies the ways Video Secrets performers can make money," he added.
The success of tipping and Party Chat has been seen across the entire network," Estes said. "While known for having high quality female performers, the roster of gay male talent on the Video Secrets network has benefited greatly from the changes, as well. The frenzy created during a tipping show can spread like wildfire, with several performers having logged earnings in excess of $1,000 in under an hour."
