<strong>ATLANTA</strong> – <i>FlavaMen</i> magazine and promoter Wassup N ATL have announced presenters and performers for the 2010 FlavaMen Blatino Awards. The gay awards honor ethnic clubs, adult performers and websites in a variety of categories and are administered by gay adult studio Flava Works.
Transsexual performer Wendy Williams has been chosen to be a presenter at the event. Other award presenters include gay ethnic porn stars Breion Diamond and Baby Star, safer-sex activist Kenneth Johnson and publisher Rameses Fredrick. CJ Wright, straight male porn actor, director and owner of FollowCJWright.com, will co-host the event.
“So excited to be apart of this event and looking forward to meeting more people outside of my genre,” Williams said. “I am particularly excited to see CJ Wright in person, as he makes me sweat.”
Additional celebrities expected to take part in the awards ceremony include Noah’s Ark actor Raz-B from the R&B boy band B2K, Shanell aka SnL from rapper Lil Wayne’s Young Money Entertainment and D. Woods, formerly a member of the group Danity Kane.
The after-party, sponsored by Wassup N ATL, will feature several live performances by major recording artists including Dondria, Fantasia and Kelly Rowland. CJ Wright also will perform a private nude strip show for VIP guests.
"I'm honored to be asked to co-host this event,” said Wright. “Everyone nominated absolutely deserves to win, and I'm looking forward to meeting and greeting my fans."
The 2010 FlavaMen Blatino Awards will take place Sept. 3 from 9–11 p.m. at CLUB ATL (Atlanta Peach Ballroom), 3365 Buford Highway in Atlanta. The after-party will take place from 11 p.m. to 4 a.m. at the same venue.
The awards presentation will be broadcast live online at <a href=http://www.blatinoawards.com/ target=new>BlatinoAwards.com</a>, and winners will be announced via <a href=http://www.twitter.com/BlatinoAwards/ target=new>Twitter</a>. A list of the 2010 nominees and winners from last year’s awards are available on the Blatino Awards site.
Tickets to the award show, available at the Blatino Awards site, are $20 at the door, with Red Carpet VIP Tickets available for $30. Red carpet VIP admission includes seating on the main floor in front of the stage with the award nominees, photo opportunities with porn stars and hors d'oeuvres.
