Dot-xxx is one of the most important issues facing the industry, and its important that adult industry professionals understand what is at stake. This also is an opportunity for industry members to express their opposition to the dot-xxx sponsored domain. Topics panel members expect to be discuss include an overview of dot-xxx components, the potential impact of the proposed sTLD on the industry, the next steps in the process and pre-registration of dot-xxx domains. In addition, panelists plan to address their understanding of the claims registrar-hopeful ICM Registry has presented to the International Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers, ICMs promises to protect children from online adult material and to protect the dot-xxx space from unwarranted censorship, and the composition and authority of the Internet Foundation for Online Responsibility (IFFOR) regulatory board ICM plans to establish to oversee ethical behavior of domains within dot-xxx.
