DORIS DAY THEMED BRUNCH AND PREMIERE SCHEDULED FOR QFEST

Competitions, look-a-like contest and trivia set to fill a Day-themed tribute

Your day is sure to be filled with daisies and rainbows when you spend it with Doris Day. QFest 2009 is thrilled to announce a day fully devoted to the screen siren that stole our hearts in Pillow Talk. Be sure to clear your schedule for Sunday, July 12 to join us for a campy Doris-themed brunch and a double-feature. The legendary actress and singer will join us in spirit as we look back at her contributions to the entertainment world.

Start the day off right with brunch at Q BBQ & Tequila. Highlighted by themed competitions, Doris’ own famous Peach Cake and Tequila Bloody Marias, this brunch would satisfy even Rock Hudson’s taste for meat. Some of the all-Doris all-Day special programs are a Doris and Rock Hudson trivia contest, door prizes and the highly anticipated Doris Day and Rock Hudson Look-a-Like Contest; so be sure to dress to impress.

After brunch and a few scrumptious Bloody Marias, join us for the North American premiere of the deliciously entertaining documentary, What a Difference a Day Made: Doris Day Superstar followed by her classic, Pillow Talk. Doris Day Superstar works back from the present to chronicle over 80 years of her life with clips from Day’s career and words from fellow actors, biographers, friends, relatives and a group of obsessed fans.

Both films will screen at the Ritz East Theatre 2 with Doris Day Superstar premiering at 2:30 and Pillow Talk at 4:45. Tickets for both the brunch and premiere are $35 for PCA members and $40 for the public; brunch only tickets are $25 for PCA members and $30 for the public.

Tickets can be purchased by calling 267.765.9800 ext 4, at any TLA location or online at www.phillycinema.org.
