The movie begins with Sarah Larson (Mz Berlin) looking for the office where her job interview is to be. Upon entering a dark room, she is accosted, subdued and awakens the next day in steel shackles. She cries out, but no one is there to hear. Later, a stranger enters the room for a brief interrogation, but leaves when Sarah refuses to answer his questions. Over the next several days, the stranger greets his captive with more and more severe water torments, his preferred style of torture, as she continues to evade his inquiry.
“Through the years, I've always enjoyed pushing the envelope of fetish film in both style and creativity, “ says writer-director John Fitzgerald. “I was pleased, after pitching GwenMedia the concept of Captive, a film that explored psychological as much as physical bondage, that they embraced the idea.
Captive is a departure from a typical John Fitzgerald film in that I'm playing with the concept of control, torment and interrogation in a way that I don't think has ever been done in a fetish film. It was very exciting to make, and I know will be fun to watch.”
