LAST DAYS TO RSVP FOR FSC'S "HOW TO SURVIVE AND THRIVE IN THE DIGITAL ENVIRONMENT" SUMMIT

The Free Speech Coalition (FSC) will present its ground-breaking summit, “How to Survive and Thrive in the Digital Environment,” next Tuesday, Nov. 18, at the Sheraton Universal, in Universal City, Calif.

Legal experts and leaders from mainstream entertainment companies including Sony Music Group, Warner Bros. Music Group, EMI Music North America and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA) will speak alongside adult industry executives Steven Hirsch, managing partner of Vivid Entertainment, and Adult Entertainment Broadcast Network’s (AEBN) President Scott Coffman, who will be featured on a special panel titled “Adult Industry Leaders — Thinking Outside of the Box.”

After recently settling a lawsuit between their two companies, Hirsch and Coffman have similar opinions on what the greatest challenge is to content producers in the digital age — protecting content against piracy.
"How we unite as an industry against piracy will determine the future of our business," Hirsch said in a pre-Summit interview.
“Protecting their content — this is number one and there is nothing close behind it,” Coffman concurred.

And Coffman outlined important questions for the mainstream experts that will gather to discuss a variety of topics at the day-long event.

“Does the new mainstream media have any new technology that will keep their content from being pirated or that will allow them to track where there content is being viewed?” Coffman asked. “Why is the mainstream media not using their vast resources to prosecute sites that are pirating their content? Are there any plans to challenge the DMCA law?”

Summit guests also will have an opportunity to ask questions about piracy, the transition to digital formats, how to monetize content in the digital environment, as well as other issues that are having a profound effect on the way adult producers do business.

The Summit is free to FSC members, and non-members will be charged $30 per ticket. Non-members that wish to sign up for a professional level FSC membership can also gain admission. Industry professional memberships start at $50 for individuals.

With only a limited amount of seats left, those interested in attending are urged to RSVP as soon as possible. Contact Keah at (818) 348-9373 or keah@freespeechcoalition.com, for more information or to guarantee a seat to this special event.

The Summit is presented in conjunction with Jenner & Block LLP, and Mitchell, Silberberg and Krupp LLP.
